Statement

HAIL HEARTHLIGHT!!


I go by Adakan Rafenson, and I have been larping for nearly 18 years now, and have been in a leadership position for the large majority of that time period. I am the founder and current Administrator of the Nordanmork Chapter of Maine, the leader of the unit Ordo Corvus, and was the lead editor for the original version of the ToW. My favorite aspects of Hearthlight are the comradery, combat, and various craft skills that can be learned.


Hearthlight has always been not just a game, but an idea that I believe in, that I always wish to improve and grow. As President, I would do everything in my power to help the BoD bring the next vision of HL to fruition, and push for projects that help us in the long term. I wish to create more open dialogue between the playerbase and leadership to allow new ideas to emerge, that will increase participation and a sense of progress. I would be honored, despite being a dirty lefty cheater, to have your vote for President of Hearthlight.

Statement

Hello all,


I am William J. Gallagher and am here hoping that you vote for me for the position of President of Hearthlight. In game I am Rook Magos, Squire under Nature of Red Stag, Exemplar and in the Officer position of Anvard.


You may know me from my Heralding at Crossroads, Spark of War, Siege and the North East Openers/Closers or as a Peddler of knickknacks and what nots after the fights.

Out of Game I have had a number of positions related to leadership, administration and safety in different groups including co-manager of a student run research facility to head of audience safety and recording for a flaming sword wielding burlesque.


My goals as President would be to add transparency, communication and volunteer involvement in Hearthlight with the hope of a solidifying Hearthlight's foundation as a great larp group. While it sounds like simple goals, I know the road to these will be tricky. One of the early changes will be having office hours on the main discord for what ever questions players have in the hope to support players and uplift Hearthlight as a whole.
